A beautiful and fun festival. Many attractions with hundreds of artisans and artists, not only on the twelve stages, but all around them! Sword fighters, magicians and much more! “The whole world is a stage” in the village of Kimmendale. Heroic knights, on their noble horses, attack with thunderous speed in exciting battles. Various pubs and games of chance and skill that challenge young and old, such as axe throwing, archery, tests of strength, fencing and much more! There is so much to see in this adventure that is the Florida Renaissance Festival! It's amazing to see people participating in their costumes... At this festival, the attraction is the people.

Despite being colorblind, I am fascinated by colors. They certainly aren't the same shades, but who says they have to be the same?

The Breaking of Xangô, or Day of the Breaking, was an event of religious intolerance that occurred on February 2, 1912, in the city of Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil, consisting of the destruction of religious centers and the persecution of followers of African-derived religions. On that day, babalorixás and ialorixás (priests and priestesses) had their religious centers invaded by an armed militia called the League of Republican Combatants, followed by an enraged crowd, and witnessed the forceful removal of their sacred objects and paraphernalia from the temples, which were then exposed and burned in a public square. In protest of this event, every year there is a gathering and parade of followers and supporters of Afro-Brazilian religions.

Carnival is another of my passions. Using blurring techniques, I highlight the colors and joy of the Maceió Carnival.

While in the United States people play Pickleball, in Brazil, beach tennis has taken over the entire country. These images were recorded at the largest beach tennis competition in Brazil, in Marechal Deodoro - AL.

Tampa is better known to Brazilians, but the two cities are neighbors, connected by a bridge. We started in Sarasota where we saw a beautiful statue that reproduces the iconic photo "The Kiss," taken by photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt in 1945, during the celebration of the end of World War II. Then we went to Tampa for a beautiful sunset by the sea, at a fantastic restaurant. And finally, Ybor City, an old neighborhood in Tampa, with a tradition of beer and cigar production.

Festa no interior é sempre com muita diversão e alegria! E assim foi no povoado Bananal, em Viçosa, AL. Com uma estrutura bem simples, o palhaço Bananinha levou o povoado inteiro para assistir a esta brincadeira com um misto de tourada, rodeio e circo.

Águas rasas e cristalinas a caminho de Pernambuco. São diversas praias conhecidas como Costa dos Corais. Águas mansas como Paripueira, São Miguel dos Milagres, Maragogi, Japaratinga e tantas outras.

Saindo de Maceió, no sentido Sul, a caminho de Sergipe, temos recantos de encantar a todas as pessoas. Praias, lagoas, rios, manguezais... São de uma beleza estonteante, e o que é melhor, a pouca distância da capital.

Primeira capital do Estado de Alagoas, leva o nome do primeiro Presidente da República do Brasil. Situada à beira da lagoa, conta com belas igrejas e um museu com obras fantásticas. É conhecida com o berço dos músicos de Alagoas. Vale a pena conhecer.

O carnaval de rua, em Maceió, tem uma peculiaridade. O forte ocorre nas semanas prévias ao evento nacional e a beira-mar fica tomada de canto a canto com diversos blocos. Dentre eles destaca-se o Pinto da Madrugada, em referência ao conhecido bloco pernambucano Galo da Madrugada. É uma explosão de cores, música e alegria aberto a todas e todos.
